Feliz Navidad!

Fellow commuters!
I hope your finals have gone smoothly, that you have not been too overwhelmed with all the assignments, and the traveling back and forth from Eastern to your home has not been too terrible. Today, I am going to write to you about some of the events we are planning as commuters for next year; there are several options, if you could please vote for one that most interests you in the comment section.
1. Plan a trip to Philly. Here, we could have a small tour of the city, we could shop, eat different foods, etc...
2. Have a potluck dinner. This event we would host in the school, and everyone would bring one of their favorite dishes.
3. Have a movie in the school. We could also bring some snacks. If you have any movie requests write them down in the comment section below as well.

I hope everyone has a great winter break! Until next year compañeros! :)

Yours truly,
Michelle

transportation, transportation

So, as I had mentioned in former blogs the many ways in which we get here. I have been very lazy about biking every day, because it has been getting so cold. So, when I told my friend, he sent me a link to another blog. This blog is about how to prepare for biking in the winter. I will post it on here for any of you biking commuters:

I also wanted to write to all the students that take public transportation every single day. Our Commuter President, Gabriela, is trying to get all the commuters that take the train and bus everyday to sign a petition. They are trying to find ways in which these commuters do not have to pay as much for transportation, and a way in which we can get a discount as the school for these train tickets. I recommend that you talk to Gabriel to find out how you can be a part of this.

I wish you the best luck in finals!

want a break from studying?

Well, finals are coming up and most of you are probably swamped with all the work that you have to do. I know I am! Ah, and you know what I need? A break! Sometimes when we have so much work, and so overwhelmed all we can think about is work and tests. We get so stuck in our academic world that we forget to take some time and rest. So, I am recommending you to take a short break this weekend! You could just watch a movie, hang out with friends... If you want something more interesting I know there are a couple more events going on this weekend. One of the events is a Salsa party. It is going to be in a dance studio in Philadelphia on Friday afternoon. The Vans will be meeting in the Gym parking lot at five o' clock. So, If there are some of you that live in Philly this can be perfect for you! You can just meet us there, and then leave on your own. This should be a nice break from tests, and you can learn how to dance, or if you know how to dance you can show off your skills ;)
