Not so 'Great Expectations'

I have to admit, when I heard I was not going to be able to live on campus I was pretty upset. I'm sure a lot of you were a little disappointed too. I was really hoping I could have the college life I had always heard about. I was so excited to get a roommate, to have a cool looking dorm, to live the whole college experience. My parents really tried to arrange financial issues so I could live on campus, but it wasn't possible.  Before I started school, I talked to a friend that's a commuter at Eastern, and she said she absolutely detested being a commuter. I was looking forward to school even less now. Even though I live very close to school, I did not want to commute.
The first day of school, I was excited for this new experience, but I still was not thrilled about having to bike to school every day.(Yeah, I bike to school. I'm still working on the whole driving thing, hopefully I'll get it before it starts snowing!)  What can I say, I was not very positive. However, as I started getting to know the people there, I started forgetting all the negatives, and began to look at the positives.
Now, I absolutely love this school. However, I still have to say that it is not all that easy.
Being a commuter has its disadvantages, but it definitely has its advantages as well! In this blog I will write about my day to day experiences commuting.
